A 4 partner, locally-owned firm with offices in Winchester, Morrisburg, Carleton Place and Cobden, our offices serve companies at all stages of their development from emerging and owner-managed businesses to large private companies, not-for-profit organizations, professionals and individuals.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Working closely with Tax Partners and other senior tax staff, to develop and implement tax planning assignments for clients
- Performing technical research and documenting tax plan recommendations
- Preparing individual and corporate tax returns
- Collaborate with peers and senior management on file planning and completion within time constraints
- Provide personal, attentive service to clients to encourage productive working relationships
A successful candidate will have:
- Successful completion of the Common Final Evaluation (CFE), at a minimum holding a status of CPA-in-waiting
- Commitment to pursue the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course
- 1-2 years of experience in a professional services firm
- Tax experience considered an asset
- Self-motivation with an ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Strong analytical skills and creativity to identify problems and potential solutions
- Strong proficiency in client-focused service
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong project management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects with conflicting time lines
